Women’s Voices in The Monitoring and Improvement of Indonesia’s Universal Health Care Insurance Services: JKN Program is a multi-stakeholder collaborative program that provides assistance to the poor so they can get health services as promised by the National Health Insurance (JKN).

Women’s Voices in The Monitoring and Improvement of Indonesia’s Universal Health Care Insurance Services: program aims to improve access and quality of health services for the poor. The program was implemented in collaboration with AKATIGA Center for Social Analysis and Fatayat Nahdatul Ulama, supported by The Global Partnership for Social Accountability (GPSA) Program from the World Bank.

Lessons from the facilitation process are routinely discussed with relevant stakeholders at central and regional levels, namely JKN implementers, health service providers, and the government, in order to improve service quality both at the site level and in the policy realm.

BPJS Health and the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia welcomed this activity, as well as the majority of stakeholders in the regions because it can improve health facility services, help regions achieve UHC (universal health coverage), and help the poor get health services.

LOCATION OF RESEARCH ACTIVITIES

The program is implemented in five provinces, namely in West Java, Central Java, East Java, North Maluku and Jambi. Of the 5 provinces, 8 cities/regencies have been selected as program areas.
